Welcome to my blog. I'm Syarifa from Tawau Sabah. Today  I will share with you  a small time foodie's incoherent ramblings on Tawau food. Le Cottage Garden which is one of the most popular and aesthetic cafe in Tawau, Sabah.  It has been promoted  throughout the local social media. It sound like interesting thing .

Before I talk about the menu and what special about this restaurant, I will introduce to you first about this restaurant. This cafe named as Le Cottage Garden which place at the backside of Unipark commercial area, next to Taman Univilla at Jalan Utara. Has been completed in 2021. Many facilitie have been built such as surau, toilet, parking and soon. This restaurant is not only a place for tourists to eat but they also provide a free playground for children. Interesting isn't it! This place is very beautiful with the decorations of lamp and cafe with the concept of various type of wooden shape. This is what cause many tourist to eat at this place because of its beautiful and aesthetic style.

My diploma friend and I celebrated Wani birthday. We reserve a special table there. Le cottage is big and there are many type of restaurant that we can take. We reserve a table that is special and suitable for celebrating a person's birthday. The restaurant is also friendly, we asked them to decorate the  place that we already reserve earlier. They also made a surprise and we all sang a birthday song for Wani. We are satisfied with the service and the facilities there are also good such as the toilet clean and the way they serve the customer is very professional and friendly. We enjoy the moment and take some picture for sweet memories.

They have a lot of menu. We all don't know what menu to take hahaha. They provide shellout queen set menu, Ikan Baulu meal set, western menu, and soon. The famous menu here, Udang Butter Kering, Ikan Siakap 3 Rasa, Pasta, Chicken Chop Grill, fries, and soon. I take order Chicken Grill with black paper sauce. I rate for 10/10, the sauce prepared is suitable and delicious to taste, also the grilled chicken is soft and fatty.

What more interesting about this restaurant? We also can booked and do weeding day at here. Aesthetic and strategic place it is suitable to be used as a wedding venue. We can order catering here. The price here is also worth it and the food is delicious. You can do a photography session because the decoration and concept of this cafe is very interesting. We rarely want to see a restaurany like this. This restaurant also similiar like cafe. Overall, I verry recommend you all to come here especially when night. The view so beautiful with lamp decoration and wooden shape. They make and aesthetic that make attrack tourist or customer to come here.  All menu they have are halal and have halal certificate. Almost all customers also repeat orders to this restaurant. I also go here many times to celebrate family events. As a student Tourism Management, I see how they serve the customer and how friendly the service because we also study about this. TRAVELOGUE AT MATAKING ISLAND, SEMPORNA SABAH

Welcome to my blog. I'm Syarifa from Tawau Sabah. Today  I will share with you interesting and recommendation place at Semporna Sabah that I already go. I will share about my experience and my journey travel to famous attraction. Last year during the sem break me and my family plan went to go Semporna known as "Mataking Island".

To get there we use a car, our journey from Tawau City to Semporna takes 1 hour 30 minutes. During our trip, there were not many car but i am sure you will get a beautiful and awesome view of the hill. Me and my family took the oportunity to go there. We are so excited.

Before i tell you about the activities we did there. I would like to share a little about this island. Mataking Island has its own special features, not only in terms of its clean and beautiful sea water but Mataking Island has the first and only underwater Post Office in the country. It exists because it has an old wooden cargo ship that was deliberately sunk by the resort to create an artificial reef area and at the same time become an underwater mailbox. Tourist can actually deliver letters at the bottom of the sea! Using a special waterproof cover for letter and stamp that can be bought from shops on the island. The Underwater Post Office, accessible from Mataking Island on a site called The Wreck, is built on top of a sunken fishing boat that also acts as a coral reef. Interesting right?

For your information, we went to the place for one-day trip. And we arrive at the jetty, the tour guide will take us directly to the boat and they will give us a briefing about our trip. We family use only one boat that can accommodate 21 peoples. The journey from the jetty to Mataking Island take 55 minutes.

The first time I see a Mataking Island I was very excited because of the clear sea water. My uncle said, this island near Semporna is very beautiful like in the Maldives. No need to waste a lot of money to go to Meldives because the islands in Semporna are just as beautiful and awesome. We are lucky to feel the experience and sweet memorable with family at Mataking Island. 

At Mataking Island, me and our family doing a activities such as sea ​​kayaking. This island is one of these area that offer Sea kayaking as an activity. Sea kayak can be rented at the resort and visitors can easily paddle around this small island in one of these kayak. ASL paddles or Kookaburra boats can also be hired here. I take oppurtinity to take some picture with this beautiful island. Me and family enjoy this trip. Not that, some of my family go to snorkelling to see aquatic life. We took the opportunity to see and identify many type of coral reef and different type of fish in the aquatic. For your information, me and my family take package which one day at Mataking Island for sea kayaking and snorkeling.

Overall, the islands in Semporna are among the best island in the world. My family admit that Mataking Island is incomparable. Many islands abroad are actually beautiful but they cost a lot of money. My comment about Mataking Island is that I am very satisfied with the service they provide us, the facilities here are also good and the most important thing is that this island is beautiful, clean and the sea water is clear. I highly recommend you all to come to Mataking Island. My family and I were able to learn new things such as recognizing fish species and coral reef types of marine life. Before we back to jetty, we take some picture at Mataking Island as sweet memories. When I do this blog, I miss to go again to this island.

Before we back to Tawau. Me and my family also plan want to go at Starbuck, Semporna. First interaction I go there, it was awesome and wow, the special of this Starbuck is it located close to the sea. We can enjoy food and drinks here with a beautiful sea view and a windy place. I really like the strategic location which causes foreign tourists to also come here. Tourists who come to Semporna must come to this place.
